I'm sorry I've left my comments page neglected for a while, just letting everyone know that I've already picked songs for SCGMD3 so no need to leave more suggestions (in truth I picked them quite a while back, should've posted this sooner).

I plan on finishing the game over Easter since I'll have plenty of free time, but don't expect the same leap from 2 to 3 as there was from 1 to 2, it's mostly just some new songs to play. The fact that it's taken so long shows how little time I've found to actually work on the game, so revolutionising it isn't really feasible.

To be honest I'd say there is nothing else to change on the game, its splendid as it is. More tunes is all that is needed. Maybe calm down on the bats and stuff that come flying out of the guitar, they can get in the way sometimes, but thats the only critique I have about scgmd2.
Great to see you've finally given us a hint about release date.
Any chance of a little tip as to what songs will be in 3?

If you fix it up with a bit of a better look and maybe some new innovitave idea about the main bar (where the buttons you have to press come up) then it could be one of the best games on newgrounds. The better look with the new one would be awesome as that was the major flaw about no. 2. Also if it could run a bit smoother a bit more consistently it would leave little room for improvement.

To tell you the truth, I don't expect a leap of genius. But I have to say that by saying its just going to be more songs, I'm not liking it as much as I could. You will have to put new things in it or it won't be nearly as fun....that and take away the score requirement for songs, no way in hell I'm going to do amateur songs again just to get the last 4 pro songs. They are too boring. I hope what you say is not entirely true because that leaves a nasty and bitter taste in my mouth. Maybe add a few new goals,all I ask is that you make it SCGMD 3, not SCGMD 2.5.

P.S. Don't rush it, it seems like your trying to downplay the expectations to accept a lesser game at a faster pace, but I don't care if it takes another year, its worth not being dissapointed after I spent so much time on 2.

The second was basically the pinnacle of Guitar Games.
I'd love to see how this turns out.
How long do you spend per song planning out the notes for it?

sweet. i just hope that nothing is drastically weighing it down; I played GHIII and it sucked, and I do not want that to happen to this, having 'Guitar' and '3' in it is close enough to that brick of a game for me, Just more of the same is great for me, the songs are(after a frickin' year mind you) boring now. Also, I think a quality thing to to for the critics is to write a subsystem so that when a key is pressed, the guitarist puts his and at a relative position(like the down key at the bottom, up key in the high middle) and strums, with this little extra week(or not even) of work, it could pull off more than it ever has. Also to spruce up the visuals, give a drummer & bassist/second guitarist(singer not included unlesss ya wanna). Give them just small animation loops, this way, people will be more attracted to the guitarist and the way he IS playing what the song is. overall point of my suggestions; take it or leave it, I don't care it'll be in my top ten.

Not really an option with my timescale, and also timing songs is very difficult so it would need an awesomely user-friendly interface. Plus it would encourage people to distribute songs they don't have the rights to, which isn't something I'd want to encourage.

I've timed 57% of the songs, I'm still waiting for the last song to be finished. I have 2 more guitars to design. Then I need to do some testing and difficulty balancing... then I need to sort out sponsorship.

It's hard to say how long it'll take!

Hah no... I actually had complaints about the "Oh my god" from the last game, from some Christians saying it's blasphemy. The multipliers are fairly tame this time round.

14 new songs, no old ones. There are a couple of new options but nothing huge. Yes I do play guitar (I have a red SG like the one in SCGMD2) but I'm self taught and fairly average at it.
